Mayor launches SYMCA’s Strategy for Skills
South Yorkshire’s Mayor, Oliver Coppard, announced the launch of SYMCA’s first Skills Strategy on 14th March. The Strategy was announced alongside a new Plan for Good Growth for South Yorkshire and together the documents will support the Mayor’s overarching vision to develop South Yorkshire’s economic strength.
The Skills Strategy has three clear missions:
Move those far from the labour market into work or ready for work;
Raise attainment of core knowledge and skills; and,
Increase the supply of a high-skilled workforce.
