Communication Specialist College Doncaster

Communication Specialist College Doncaster is a Further Education College in the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority, providing a range of vocational skills and qualifications for young people who are D/deaf or have other communication needs including autism and learning disabilities. 

Through our Independence, Employability and Communication and Wellbeing pathways we offer a wide range of programmes for students who want to gain vocational qualifications as well as develop their independence and personal and social development skills. Our curriculum is developing, and recent additions include Animal Care courses and a range of IT courses including Game Design. 

We seamlessly integrate our therapy services into the curriculum, including Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Counselling and Audiology. This collaborative approach between our therapy team and staff ensures a comprehensive development experience for each student.  

Our ‘Outstanding’ residential provision, designed for accessibility and fostering independence, serves as a supportive living environment for students from distant locations, emphasising practical skills for daily life.

Our campus is based on Leger Way, Doncaster in a fantastic location where our students can live, learn, and thrive. 

The University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre

The University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre is the place where ambition and aspiration is nurtured and developed to create the talented, advanced engineers of tomorrow.

As part of the University of Sheffield, our apprentices are perfectly placed to draw on the experience of an elite Russell Group university and the resources of a world-leading research and innovation cluster that includes the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) and Nuclear AMRC, whose partners include Siemens, Technicut, Boeing, Rolls-Royce, Toyota Motorsport GMBH, Unilever, McLaren and Airbus.

In addition to our apprenticeship programmes, we also provide Continuing Professional Development (CPD) which is an essential requirement for any organisation. The ability for employers to upskill, reskill or multiskill employees is more important now than ever before.

Our industry-focused courses allow employers to respond to needs and changes, ensuring skills levels are maintained within workforces; and whether that is electrical and robotics, machining, or metals and materials - we’ve got it covered.

Barnsley College

Barnsley College is rated Outstanding by Ofsted and offers a range of full and part-time vocational courses, A Levels, apprenticeships, T Levels (Technical qualifications), Higher National Qualifications (HTQs) and Higher Education pathways to approximately 9,000 students.

Barnsley College recently become a member of the Chartered Institute for Further Education (CIFE) and regularly receives awards for teaching and the support available to students. RNN Group
